I have a confession to make; this year’s Halloween look idea comes from my two-year-old, and here’s how that happened. So my daughter, who had endless Halloween costume choices, ranging from all things princess to unicorns and bunnies, she decided she wants to be a lion. She’s got the “rawr” down to a tee, so I thought, “What a perfect idea! Lioness for Halloween!”. So let’s have some fun with creating a makeup look. Whether it’s for your kid or a sexy lion look for you, here we go!
This is a time to just go all out with the coverage, so the heavier the better, after all we are playing dress up.
For eyes we are going to do a cut crease. Think extra dramatic. I figured the SEPHORA COLLECTION Vivid Earth Wild Nature Eye Palette would be perfect for obvious reasons.
I start off by using the eye primer as a base. Using “ground”, I start forming my crease. Then I use “rustic”, a chocolate brown to make it more defined.
Nothing gets more dramatic than black, so I use a black gel liner to make a little flick on the side of the “cut” crease.
Then comes “Element”: it’s such a pretty gold to use for my lid.
I then do an extreme highlight and contour. You can use your favorite bronzer and pretty much any gold to highlight. HUDA BEAUTY 3D Highlighter Palette is perfect for this and you don’t have to hold back at all.
After going in heavy with our concealer, we apply some on our upper lip area. Use white in the water line or any light color like nude. Use black again for under the eye and then create a cat eye look. Using that same gel liner color in your nostrils and make a line to connect to your lips. Color in your top lip with black and make some black dots or whiskers. Remember you are the queen of the jungle!
