Welcome to the seventies, or what Hedi Slimane would like to call Celine’s Spring-Summer 2020 show. On the menu, were lurex wrapped turbans, denim novelties, prairie dresses and peasant blouses. Ring a bell yet?

Steering away from his usual masculine-feminine style, Slimane decided to go on a much more relaxed look for the coming season, and his hand was as steady as ever. That said, the French Maison’s newest collection was kind of a tribute to the iconic seventies’ style – you know, the one that shines with the light of million boho-chic hippies.

The designer sent out models in denim ensembles, from wide-legged jeans to matching jackets and so much more where that came from. The flowing yet fabulously adorned prairie dresses were topped off at times with fur gilets, while other looks had brown suede pieces written all over them. Denim pieces were paired with relaxed white sneaks and other looks were finished with fur coats. The eveningwear section was more of a shiny and metallic compilation of otherwise classic flowy dresses – the kind that only a 70s chick at heart would totally get.
