What My Daughter Wore by Jenny Williams

by Leonore Dicker

Brooklyn-based artist Jenny Williams has found a new muse: her daughter. For the past three years, the illustrator has been chronicling the quirky fashion outfits of her only daughter, Clementine. Every other day, Williams takes a picture of what her daughter is wearing and then works on her drawings in her nearby studio. This book gathers these touching illustrations, as well as some featuring Clementine’s friends.

Clementine enjoys dressing up. Readers will be able to see her style evolve from tutus and tiaras to animal prints and vintage T-shirts. This book truly captures those fleeting years in a girl’s life between childhood and young adulthood.
