New Foodie Hotspots in Dubai

by Leonore Dicker

In a city like Dubai, time flies faster than anywhere else in the world. One year here means countless new buildings, shops, malls, hotels and of course restaurants –not to mention whole new neighborhoods. Seeing as it’s hard to keep track, here are 3 new hot restaurants that this bright city has to offer.

Frioul Bistro De Luxe
Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE

Led by chef Brian Hughson (who used to be the head-chef at Gary Rhodes’ Michelin-starred restaurant in London), this French Mediterranean bistro only uses the freshest ingredients. The sharing menu includes sumptuous dishes like Duck magret with baked peaches or cured salmon, sweet and sour shallots, leek and camembert pizzetta.

Benshi
Marriott Al Jaddaf, Al Jaddaf Area, OudMetha, Dubai, UAE

When the owners of Buddha Bar in the Grosvenor House Dubai decide to open another restaurant, you know it’s going to be good. Benshi –which is scheduled to open in December– will be serving exquisite Japanese cuisine in a trendy setting.

Junoon
Shangri-La Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, UAE

New York’s Michelin-starred contemporary Indian restaurant has just landed in Dubai. With executive chef Vikas Khanna –who also hosts Masterchef India– doing the cooking, you’re definitely in for a treat. On top of the tasty food, guests should also expect to be dazzled by the interior, which has been designed by architect Tarik Currimbhoy who also designed the NYC branch.
