Haute Hotels: AzyaaMode’s top 5 hotels decorated by fashion designers

by Leonore Dicker

Fashion: we love it, we want it and we wear it. It gives us great pleasure to tell the world who we’re wearing, but how would we feel about sleeping in a designer too?

Ladies, here are our favorite hotels decorated by fashion designers, where we recommend that you book yourself a room as soon as possible!

Tortuga Bay Resort in the Dominican Republic --> Oscar de la Renta

This luxurious resort –which includes 30 suites in 13 grand villas– was decorated by none other than Oscar de la Renta. You may not know this about the late iconic designer, but de la Renta was actually a native to the Dominican Republic and owned a house nearby. The colonial styled rooms are decorated with the highest taste and the hotel includes a Six Senses spa and golf courses.

Round Hill Hotel & Villas in Montego Bay, Jamaica --> Ralph Lauren

If you’ve ever set foot in a Ralph Lauren shop, then you’ve probably wondered how you could get your own home to look so elegantly cosy. In the meantime, head down to this absolutely beautiful (27-villa) hotel, which has an infinity pool, a sumptuous spa and impeccable service. The rooms are also flawless, but you probably knew that already.

Maison Moschino in Milan, Italy --> Moschino

Welcome to Maison Moschino: a fabulous hotel in Italy’s fashion capital. Decorated by Moschino’s creative director Rossella Jardini, this 65-room hotel feels like a dream straight out of Alice in Wonderland. Trees grow out of nowhere, lights look like clouds and beds like dresses. Now that’s what we call every little girl’s dream come true.

Hotel Le Bellechasse in Paris, France --> Christian Lacroix

When we think of a night in Paris, we think of sumptuous sheets, red velvet and exquisite ceilings. Hotel Le Bellechasse delivers just that. This flamboyant boudoir hotel was designed by French couturier Christian Lacroix and exudes comfort and luxury.

3 Rooms in Paris, France --> Azzedine Alaia

Tunisian-born designer Azzedine Alaia has decorated 3 design apartment-style suites nearby his Parisian studio. These bright minimalist flats are filled with retro and avant-garde furniture and make the ideal spot to lounge away and feel at home. Breakfast is prepared at Alaia’s own home by his personal chef and then brought over. Sounds like quite the treat…
