3 Australian Designers: Designing for the youth

01 of 02

Today I'm wearing a color called Romantique by CND UV Shellac, which is another favorite nude. Now that I have a wedding to plan, finding the perfect nude shade for my wedding day is probably the next thing I will obsess over. Depending on your skin tone, find the right nude for you because you never know when your nails have to be ready for a sudden surprise!

After a month of writing about bridal preparations and weddings for AzyaaMode, I couldn't help but dream about my own wedding and funny enough it was realized that night! I will definitely be searching through AzyaaMode to help me find the perfect dress and honeymoon destination.

Following our recent piece on 3 Australian designers that every girl should know about, we’ve decided to further draw your attention to Australia, but this time on designers for a younger target. If you’re a twenty or thirty-something girl looking for a new style or label, then seek no further!

Shakuhachi

This label –created by Jessie White– has been rocking young sexy clothing since 2000. Nowadays, it’s regularly featured on Australian Vogue and Marie Claire. Designs are a combination of Bohemian flair and girlish charm with a retro 1960’s touch, and naturally include cropped tops and pencil skirts. Minimal faux bustier dresses and pleated leather gowns are some of our favorite pieces. Go check them out on www.shakuhachi.net.

Finders Keepers

You might have spotted this label’s designs on Asos or –even better– Sienna Miller. Launched in 2009 by Melanie Flintoft, Finders Keepers is a playful brand that has made its way to the top. Keeping up with the trends –or perhaps even starting them– designs include ombre floral jumper-dresses and golden skinny Aladdin pants, for the ultimate LA meets Berlin hipster look. You can purchase the brand’s latest collection here: www.fashionbunker.com/label/finders-keepers

Alex Perry
Alex Perry –who is known for wearing sunglasses day and night– has been designing exquisite garbs for almost 20 years now. His sexy designs, which always flatter a woman’s silhouettes, include denim-like coned pleated skirts and sensual dark reptile dresses. Known for dressing celebrities and socialites, the Australian couturier has recently added Design Mentor on Australia’s Project Runway to his resume. His designs are sold online here: www.maximillia.com/collections/alex-perry
