The Arab World is booming. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have not only become top travel destinations, but they are also where business, design and culture are constantly being made. Egypt produces fine shows and films. Lebanese designers are occupying our wardrobes, and so the list goes on.

Among this world take-over lays another sublime breed: Arab models. These stunning creatures have managed to sidle in and seize the runway.

Here are our top 3 Arab models of the moment!

Hanaa Ben Abdesslem
This 23-year-old Tunisian beauty made her modelling debut on Vivienne Westwood’s runway a couple of years ago after winning second place on the reality TV show “Mission Fashion”. Since then, as well as having landed endless magazine covers and runway shows, she’s become the first Muslim face of Lancôme. We expect to see much more of her in the years to come.

Hind Sahli
After signing with a model agency in North Africa in 2008, 23-year-old Moroccan Hind moved to New York to land her first gig on BCBG Max Azria’s runway, in September 2009. Italian and Spanish Vogue –as well as W and i-D magazine– soon all begged to have her featured on their pages, and her career kicked off without restraint.

Tara Emad
Born and raised in Egypt, this 5ft10 21-year-old supermodel was voted miss teen Egypt and Teen Queen of Africa in 2010, and was the first runner-up in Miss Global Teen 2010. Soon after that, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism hired Tara in 2011 for a campaign promoting her country’s beauty, and the rest is history.
