6 HEALTH TIPS FOR 2015

by Leonore Dicker

Make 2015 your healthiest year as of yet! While your New Year’s Resolutions might not include being healthy, they most definitely should. There is nothing more important than being wholesome, so follow these 6 tips to look good and feel good too.

Drink Water
In 2015, cut soda (including diet soda) from your diet. Every time you’re thirsty, grab a glass of water instead. This will do wonders for your health, not to mention your skin. You’ll thank us later.

Vary your Workout
Working out is great for your health, but do make sure that you’re not sticking to one type of exercise. If you usually do yoga, try to run or swim too once a week. It’s important to include some cardio training in your workout, to strengthen your heart.

Get enough Sleep
Are you a workaholic? We get it, so are we. As important as work and social events may be, they’re truly meaningless compared to your health. Sleeping at least 7 to 8 hours a night will help you focus, cope with stress and think positively.

Wear Sunscreen
Every day, make sure to apply some sunscreen on your face. This will protect your skin from wrinkles, age spots and skin cancer. We can’t stress how important this one is.

Avoid Red Meat
While we all enjoy munching on a good piece of steak every once in a while, make sure that you don’t do it too often. Not only is red meat said to cause cancer, but it also isn’t good for your skin and well-being.

Don’t Skip Breakfast
As tempting as it might be to avoid ingesting those morning calories, don’t be fooled! Fiber in the morning means you won’t be as hungry in the afternoon. You’ll also feel more energized and positive.
