Do you believe in gender equality? This daring coffee table book gathers photographs of women partaking in unconventional activities –usually reserved for men.

For the last twenty years, art collector Peter Cohen has been assembling various snaps taken in the first half of the twentieth century of rebellious women. These photographs feature women of all ages boxing, smoking, shooting arrows or even guns while wearing lovely dresses. Mia Fineman –an associate curator in the department of photographs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art– has helped curate the book and has written the introduction for it.

If you know any daring, free-spirited ladies out there – then gift them this book, which pays homage to their kind.
