To celebrate their wedding, Prince Rainier of Monaco offered his princess a Van Cleef & Arpels diamond and pearl three-strand necklace with matching earrings from the jeweler’s boutique in New York. This set marked a partnership with the royal family that stayed for the rest of Kelly’s life.

The ring adorning Kelly’s finger in this picture is the original engagement ring Prince Rainier of Monaco offered her. Created by Cartier, it was an eternity ring set with rubies and diamonds – as red and white are the colors of the Monégasque flag.

This is most probably the most famous jewelry piece owned by Grace Kelly, as this engagement ring features a 10.47-carat emerald-cut diamond framed by two smaller baguette side stones. Created by Cartier, this ring – which was gifted to her by Prince Rainier of Monaco – was not the original one although it is the most known.

In 1978, Princess Grace commissioned Van Cleef & Arpels to create a tiara that she would wear to the wedding of her daughter Caroline to Philippe Jugnot. The latter is made of platinum set with pear-shaped, marquise-shaped and round diamonds weighing in total 77.34 carats. Originally a necklace, today this tiara is a part of VC&A’s Private collection.
