What brings Dior close to Japan is more than just a bond; it’s a shared taste for both the avant-garde and tradition. In fact, Monsieur Dior regarded the Land of the Rising Sun as a country to be celebrated endlessly.

After unveiling its Fall/Winter 2025-2026 ready-to-wear collection in Paris, Dior revives the memoirs of its founder and his astonishment for this country by showcasing it in Kyoto. Taking it as an opportunity to renew the Maison’s commitment to art in all its forms, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s exploration of what determines the sartorial habits of the world's cultures is unveiled in the garden of the emblematic Toji. Further enhancing the intersection between art and fashion, Dior also supported the work of Graciela Iturbide at the KYOTOGRAPHIE festival.
