With this year’s edition of Watches & Wonders, Hermès opens a new chapter of “Time suspended”. Launched in 2011, this theme has since its debut playfully expressed the Maison’s notion of time, embodying it as a friend and playing with conventions to better celebrate the present moment.
Arceau Le temps suspendu reinterprets the 2011 model through a new aesthetic. The timepiece’s slender 42 mm case frames an openworked dial revealing the exclusive “Time suspended” module, while a Manufacture Hermès H1837 movement visible through the transparent caseback beats at its heart.
Hermès Cut Le temps suspendu is enhanced for the very first time by the House’s emblematic complication. Inside its 39 mm rose gold case with its sharp lines and bold geometry beats the “Time suspended” module powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement. However, what makes it even more distinguished is the counterclockwise rotation of the running indicator.
The Maillon Libre collection reinterprets the iconic anchor chain link in a wristwatch and a brooch watch. Contrasting softness and tension, the wristwatch offers an almost imperceptible display of time incorporated into the bracelet design to add a playful and surprising touch. As for the brooch watch, it can be worn on its own or transformed into a pendant thanks to its leather cordlet – reviving one of the most ancient masculine accessories in the language of today.
