In the 2025 edition of Watches and Wonders, Van Cleef & Arpels honors Paris, its birthplace. The event features the enchanting Pont des Amoureux collection, unveiling new color palettes and presenting the Lady Arpels Bal des Amoureux Automate watch. This embodies their Poetry of Time concept, as two Extraordinary Objects encourage reflection on time's passage, synchronized with the flutter of a cupid’s wings or the beauty of a celestial ballet dance. Exquisite timepieces celebrate the treasured tradition of jewels that convey time, a cherished hallmark of the Maison.

In 2010, Van Cleef & Arpels launched the Pont des Amoureux watch collection, which tells the story of a couple united by love, meeting on a bridge in Paris. This year, the collection expands with four new watches featuring precious bracelets, each representing different times of the day – dawn, morning, dusk, and moonlight. The dials are crafted using the grisaille enamel technique, resembling fine watercolors, and the narrative continues on the back of the case with enamel decals and gold engravings. The watches are paired with jeweled bracelets adorned with diamonds and sapphires in soft pink, vibrant pink, light blue, or dark blue, with a flexible interlocking system that conforms to the wrist.

Van Cleef & Arpels continues the Pont des Amoureux story with the Lady Arpels Bal des Amoureux Automate watch, set in a romantic new setting – a 19th-century Parisian guinguette, an open-air dance café. An automaton movement brings the couple together for a kiss at noon and midnight, which can be triggered by a button on the watch case. The time is indicated by two stars in motion, using a double retrograde system, a signature feature of the collection. The dial is rich with depth, crafted in grisaille and colored grisaille enamel, creating the effect of a starlit night. Festive lanterns and a cobblestone bed in white gold, handmade by Van Cleef & Arpels' artisans, evoke the charm of Parisian streets. The case's back mirrors the dial's scene, with enamel decals and an engraving of the couple dancing. The watch features a new automaton movement, developed over four years of research by the Maison’s experts in Geneva.

Van Cleef & Arpels merges watchmaking with high jewelry in its creations, blending the art of discreetly reading time with exceptional craftsmanship. Their designs feature flexible bracelets enhanced by invisible clasps and precise assembly techniques, with carefully chosen stones of the highest quality. The Cadenas watch, created in 1935, became an iconic timepiece with its sleek design, featuring a padlock-inspired handle and a flexible double snake chain bracelet. This piece can be worn as both a bracelet and a watch, with a discreet angled dial. The Maison introduces a new version of this classic, featuring a yellow gold bracelet, a case paved with snow-set diamonds, and a row of princess-cut sapphires. The clasp is also adorned with square sapphires, while the white gold dial sparkles with diamonds, creating a radiant and refined design.
