How to Spruce Up your Outfit with Accessories

How many times have you heard yourself thinking that you need new clothes? And how many times have you ignored this thought, went through your closet only to end up where you started in the first place? If you have been a victim of this fashionable tragedy, then this article is for you.

There’s a common misconception that changing your look means having to change every single aspect of your wardrobe. But that’s where we’re all wrong. A quick fix is an abundance of cool accessories to change the feel of our look. Picture a lazy morning where you slip into the first pair of jeans you find and a neutral white tee. Now picture that same outfit with statement shoes, a nice cross-body bag and some vibrant tassel earrings. Doesn’t look so boring after all, does it now?

That’s where we come in; we’re going to share with you some tried-and-tested tips on how to look excruciatingly stylish with your old clothes and some quirky accessories.

  1. Get yourself some shades. Not only do they protect your eyes, but they’re also very flattering on your complexion and can make – and never break – an outfit.
  2. Lonely days call for super hair accessories! Whether you go for a turban, a laurel crown or just a simple headband, the final look will be worth the effort.
  3. Think your dress is too simple? Cinch your waist with a dazzling belt and let it do all the talking! Insider tip? Get yourself a corset belt.
  4. Go for some chunky necklaces or chokers. They’ll give your top a bit of sass and you won’t be needing to wear your entire closet.
  5. Earrings, earrings and forever earrings. This season’s must haves are the super duper long danglers.
  6. Luckily for you, the diversity of bags is getting out of control – but no one’s complaining. Have your pick from belt bags, cross-body bags, bucket bags or even miniature bags. The funkier, the better.
  7. Now shoes; this part is very crucial because it all comes down to how you pair your shoes with your clothes. We suggest to always go for clashing themes; booties with a floral dress, leather pants with classic pumps, gauchos with block-heeled mules, etc… For some extra effect, choose embellished heels.
  8. You can never go wrong with a hat. Our all-time favorite? The fresh fedora.
  9. Spice up your outfit with a silk scarf and watch yourself soar high!
  10. And if you’re looking for that one last tip to transform your outfit, pick some oversized optical glasses and channel your inner nerd – fashionably, of course.
