Maximilian Davis drew inspiration from dance, particularly the German Tanztheater and its free-spirited choreography, for the Ferragamo Autumn-Winter 2025 collection. He combined elements from the 1920s and 1980s, which were important for expressionist dance, to create a modern collection, which showcases the emotional contrasts seen in German Tanztheater, such as love and longing, freedom and control, romance and passion. These themes come to life through different materials and shapes like fluid satin trenches that cinch at the waist, soft cashmere next to glossy leather, flattened feathers, and poppies flowing from ribbon-like stems.

Ferragamo’s campaigns from the 1980s feature many floral designs that are now reflected in the shoes. These flowers appear in materials like organza, leather, and satin, and they spill over almond-toe pumps or wrap around the calves of sandals. For men, classic brogues are reimagined with zips and a rugged heavy-grained leather. In other accessories, organza flowers blossom on evening bags. A new version of the Hug bag features a double design that can be belted across the body. The Hug also comes as a feathered pouch, and both it and the Soft-bag have been restyled to match the season’s theme.
