In FENDI’s collection, every detail has a role to play. Primal textures create an illusion as a flared coat doubles as a dress, its collar high and waist cinched with a gold belt. Techniques like intarsia and patchwork are applied to shearlings resembling noble furs. The hourglass silhouette appears in satin skirts, flounced jackets and rounded sleeves. Marbled plissé dresses and A-line chevron skirts from eel and lamb leather highlight the collection. A hidden martingale adds drama to menswear coats. The color palette evokes the shades of Rome at dusk, transitioning from deep greens and blues to vibrant hues like cinnamon, terracotta, and dusty rose.
This Roman evening was enchanting with games of matte and shine as satin skirts and Duchesse bishop sleeves meet mirror and crystal embroideries on checked bouclé. Chantilly lace contrasts in a cashmere twinset and a pinstripe chemise, while tulle fringes and sequins frame a trio of evening ensembles, showcasing FENDI's luxurious yet weightless craftsmanship. A playful craftsmanship at its best.
As for the collection's accessories, they come as a kaleidoscope of colors, revisiting House signatures with a retro-futurist panache. While women’s shoes present trompe l’oeil boots and peep-toe slippers in satin and eel play with a slimline wedge or a hooked heel finished with a flash of polished metal, men’s desert boots are cut in wild shearling and soft lambskin. Along comes the dazzling jewelry of the collection designed by Delfina Delettrez Fendi. Shimmering with fur-like textures, from snake chain collars and bracelets to chandelier ‘fountain’ earrings, sterling silver obelisk pendants, and FF ball chain necklaces for men, they reflect a creativity like no other.
In short, we couldn’t expect less from a FENDI Women’s and Men’s Fall/Winter 2025-26 fashion show officially inaugurated by Dardo and Tazio, the 7-year-old twin sons of Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Nico Vascellari, each wearing a replica of an equestrian ensemble designed by Karl Lagerfeld and worn by a 7-year-old Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1967.
