Although nature has always inspired Place Vendôme’s jewelers including Frédéric Boucheron, the latter never failed to set himself apart by translating his vision of a living nature, naturalistic and untamed, into captivating high jewelry pieces. This year, Claire Choisne takes the turn to bring to life this unique vision in a whole new dimension. In fact, in her collection consisting of 28 pieces designed to be worn in innovative ways, nature takes over the body and blurs the lines between the human form and its surrounding ecosystem.
In Boucheron’s repertoire, Clover, daisies, wild roses and thistles mingle with butterflies, beetles and dragonflies – underlining the founder’s captivation with a more unassuming class of flora and fauna compared to other jewelers of his time, who were charmed by noble flowers and majestic animals. Following his footsteps, Choisne symbolizes perseverance and resilience through the Airelles line, wealth, fertility and abundance through the Avoine line, austerity through the Chardon pieces, lasting feelings and sincere affection through the Cyclamen, purity and innocence through the Fleur de Carotte, the ardor of the heart through the Fuchsia creations, immortality and glory though the Laurier, passionate love through the Lierre, flexibility and resilience through the Roseau, good fortune and luck through the Scarabée Rhinoceros, regeneration and rebirth through the Bourdon, and strength through the Lucane – to name a few.
Meticulous craftsmanship and endless creativity brought these marvels to light – joining the Maison’s rich nature-inspired repertoire and bringing alive this vision that has always distinguished Boucheron through the fresh perspective of Claire Choisne.
