Mini Watches by Cartier to Maximize Your Style Game

From the Tank to the Panthère, the Baignoire and the Tortue, Cartier icons offer style in mini versions.

In Cartier’s repertoire, mini watches hold a special place with their stylish, delicate and refined design. Bursting with elegance, they carry an irresistible appeal – making them stars in their very own right. By revisiting great classics in the world of watchmaking, mini watches play with proportions and reflect a savoir-faire that allows to rethink everything to the millimeter – from the design to the movement.

Created in 1917, the Tank watch redefines modern design. From its pure lines to the parallel brancards punctuating its strap, it has allowed for numerous variations – one of which is the Tank Louis Cartier. Brought to light in 1922, this timepiece stood out with its refined horizontal lines, stretched case and gentle contours and this new mini version embraces its timeless elegance and all its aesthetic codes: Roman numerals, blued hands and a winding mechanism adorned with a sapphire cabochon.

The Tank Américaine watch was created in 1988 and is the heir to the Tank Cintrée, which dates back to 1921. Belonging to the Tank family, it has the same aesthetic codes and the same pure lines but comes in a curved shape that gives it a distinct identity. In this new mini version, this timepiece comes in an all-gold with a leather strap or a diamond-paved bracelet.

A jewelry watch par excellence, the Baignoire stands out with its oval shape and is now presented in a miniature version that sees the bangle expanded to encircle the delicate dial. Resembling only itself with every reinterpretation, it is now made available in several new versions – diamond and gold on a leather strap or an all-gold bangle version.

As iconic as a watch could be, the Panthère de Cartier lends the supple movement of its bracelet that evokes the movement of an animal to a mini version that stays true to its look. Through its new proportions, it reaches new heights of elegance as it can be paired with several bracelets.

As one of the most singular watches in Cartier’s repertoire, the Tortue is also undergoing the miniature makeover. Created in 1912, the Tortue design reminiscent of a tortoise shell combines curved and taut lines and is reinterpreted in a mini version. The Mini Tortue is issued in yellow gold and beige lacquer on a beige leather strap inspired by a creation from 1922.
