On October 17th and 18th, Oud Fashion Talks (OFT) made its return to Kuwait for season 3, reinforcing its commitment to fostering the creative economy in the region. The event convened global experts from the fashion and creative sectors, providing essential insights for Kuwaiti creatives on effectively managing their businesses and establishing the necessary infrastructure. A significant focus was placed on educating designers and creatives about sustainable business practices, brand development, and exploring job opportunities within the creative sector. Furthermore, the program aimed to raise awareness of the role of soft power in enhancing a country's overall economic development, underscoring sustainability as a crucial element of business models in the creative industries.
Starting with a prestigious Gala Dinner on the 17th of October at AlShaheed Park in the heart of Kuwait City and in attendance of esteemed international and Kuwaiti guests, the event continued with panel sessions that gave designers and creatives the chance to engage in discussions with industry leaders - like Elie Saab, Imran Amed, and Mohammad Almarzouq (CEO of Tamdeen Retail), among others. OFT concluded with a full-day public event featuring panels, workshops, food trucks, exhibitions, pop-up shops, and more.
