Qatar, the Next Stop for “Hermès Heritage – In Motion” Exhibition

A journey like no other through the rich heritage of Hermès…

From October 16 to November 9, 2024, the National Museum of Qatar will host “Hermès Heritage – In Motion”, the third and final chapter of the Hermès Heritage exhibition series. Following the success of “Once Upon a Bag” in 2022 and “Harnessing the Roots” in 2023, this exhibition delves into the Maison’s rich history, tracing its evolution from a harness-maker founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermès to its current identity as a luxury powerhouse.

“In Motion” highlights the spirit of movement, displaying objects that echo the desire to explore, whether by horse, car or bicycle. Iconic pieces include the first Hermès scarf, Postilion’s riding boots and the Flâneur d’Hermès bicycle. Curated by Bruno Gaudichon and designed by Laurence Fontaine, the exhibition is a celebration of the ingenuity, style and elegance that define Hermès, offering a fascinating journey through time and craftsmanship.
