Last year, Karl Lagerfeld hosted his Haute Fourrure Fall/Winter 2017- 2018 in Rome. This time around, the designer has brought his unique creations to the French capital, as a nod to the fine Italian fur craftsmanship.

His present collection for Fendi Haute Fourrure was synonymous with flowers…and flowers. The House, which has long been associated with fur, showcased a series of mystical pieces that led with a bright statement. Indeed, Lagerfeld found his muse in numbers that created optical illusions with flowers- think 3d flowers on lace dresses, purses in the shape of flowers and fur coats upholstered with…flowers of course.

It was like a renaissance painting beautifully exploded on his designs, mending the bridge between nature and couture. Dresses were embellished with fur while lace gowns gave away a certain sensuality. Red, blue and black colors were splattered around white clothes and ombré feathers took over gowns ever so elegantly. It was truly a state-of-the-art chef d’oeuvre done by the master of ingenuity himself!
