The question “Who is Gabrielle” echoes in the midst of Chanel’s first of four short films, guided by Australian director Daniel Askill. The film features actress Kristen Stewart getting lost in a room, as if she was inhabited by Gabrielle’s soul.
“What we landed on was ultimately the search for Gabrielle's spirit, and the sort of fight that you can have with the idea of someone disappearing. There's something eerie about the film, but it's ultimately exuberant. It leads me to her name, Gabrielle, scrawled on the window, it's like affirmation, I’ve been validated. It almost represents the first glimpse Gabrielle allows me to have of her, and I get happy.” Said Kristen Stewart.
The mystery unravels in the Gabrielle bag, with a much-needed satisfied smile on Stewart’s face, proving yet again that Gabrielle’s spirit is forever existent and will never cease to be.
