For someone who had to endure the hardness of life from a very young age, the 28-year-old Barbadian singer, AKA Robyn Rihanna Fenton, was able to fight her way out of her troubled childhood when she was noticed for the first time by Jay-Z during an audition.

But even before that, the little diva won her high school beauty pageant at 15 after singing Mariah Carey’s single “Hero”. The legendary Jay-Z signed little Riri in just one day and the rest is pure history! Since then, the international star’s singles have reached #1 on all kinds of charts as she sold at least 40 million albums worldwide! Why thank you, Jay-Z!
