Jaeger-LeCoultre Presents Atmos 568 by Marc Newson

In 2008, Jaeger-LeCoultre joined forces with designer Marc Newson to combine expertise and creative energy. This year, the designer works closely with the Grande Maison on a new interpretation of the iconic Atmos clock in a contemporary spirit, all the while staying true to its identity.

To accentuate its essence, the designer paired this clock that tells time in simplicity and purity with a Baccarat crystal globe. At first glance, the Atmos 568 draws attention to its timekeeping mechanism that appears as if it was floating in the air. Its simple dial provides easy legibility thanks to blue transferred Arabic numerals underscored by a minute circle. To keep things simple, the month indicator has been designed as a part of the transparent dial. On a very smoothly finished disc, the entire cycle of the moon phases is shown.

With an operating autonomy of about two days and perfectly-designed gear trains that require no oil, this modern interpretation of the iconic clock is utter perfection.
