Lorenzo Serafini presented a perfectly interpreted line-up of romantic dresses with a dab of Bohemia-meets-Victorian-touch. Indeed, his collection was a nod to Brooke Shields in “Blue Lagoon”, where a beautiful blend of a 19th century romanticism and a dollop of 80s-inspiration explode into what we’ve come to know as the Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Spring Summer 2017 wardrobe. Models strutted down the runway in asymmetrical fluid dresses with ruffled hems and some sort of “undone” air to match the theme. Straps seem to hang loosely, reinforcing the idea of a woman who hasn’t tried too hard to fit in, while beautiful and rich bodices were highlighted by thick corsaire belts. There were long floral dresses and even lace inserts, all of which were worthy of a delicately romantic collection. The wrinkled ankle boots seem to add a bit of edge to the lopsided dresses, channeling a vivid bohemian feel. Who knew instilling an 80s-inspired color palette could be such a charmer?
