8 Natural ways to grow out your lashes

Fake lashes and lash extensions look great, but they can also make your lashes fall out and that defeats the purpose. Just like the hair on your head, the healthier the hair, the shinier it looks. Dull dry hair also seems to stop growing. Think of the same concept with your lashes. The more you nourish your lashes the better they will look. Of course before trying any of these, ask your ophthalmologist if these are safe for you.

I recently was using an eyelash enhancer but started noticing that my vision was getting blurry. Needless to say this scared me and I stopped using the serum right away. I also noticed that I started growing baby hairs in areas around my lashes that I wasn’t trying to grow. Yes, my lashes were super long but so not worth the side effects. Since I was committed to applying something every night it became a habit.

It only took a few seconds and also pushed me to wash off my entire makeup every night. Speaking of which, if you want long, strong lashes you should be gentle when removing your make up. Never rub your eyes but instead lay the cotton pad on your eyes for a few seconds and let it absorb and then wipe off.

I researched more natural ways to grow out lashes and found out that there are so many options out there. Some were just sitting in my cabinet and just happened to be a fraction of my lash enhancer’s price.

It’s so easy and these options give you great results, but you have to stick to the routine as often as possible for it to work. After removing your makeup, use either a Q-tip or a clean sample mascara wand (spoolie) to apply one of these alone or in combination.

We want results right away. Chances are one of these is already in your home, so just use what you have on hand. Your lashes will thank you! Apply to top and bottom lashes and make sure you are going near the base of your lashes. I also like to use this on my eyebrows in spots I’m trying to grow out.

Petroleum jelly
Castor oil
Egg white mixed with vaseline (this one sounds kinda gross but claims overnight results, I wouldn’t do this every night but maybe more like a monthly mask)
Grapeseed oil
Almond oil
Vitamin E
Coconut oil
Olive oil
