A New Collaboration to Stop Hunger

With the World Food Day on October 16th getting closer, we expect a new Michael Kors initiative to support Watch Hunger Stop, the brand’s campaign to fight global hunger. During the past 3 years, the latter has helped the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) deliver more than 13 million meals to children in need. For its 4th consecutive year, a wider door is opened to us with new ways to help build a world with zero hunger.

Famed actress Kate Hudson once again joins forces with Michael Kors to support the campaign. “I’m honored to continue my collaboration with Michael on this important cause,” says Hudson.  “We are all responsible for making sure the world’s children grow up healthy, happy, strong and educated and that all begins with eradicating hunger.”

This year, an activity tracker was especially designed to support Watch Hunger Stop. Sold exclusively at select Michael Kors stores and on MichaelKors.com, each piece will provide 100 meals to WFP. This unique creation features an understated map of the world on its white mother-of-pearl dial with “Watch Hunger Stop” embossed on the leather band. Powered by the Michael Kors Access app, this activity tracker enables you to set goals, track your steps, distance and calories burned, in addition to monitoring your sleep activity. With no charging required, it is compatible with both iPhone and Android devices and comes with a remote control link functionality that allows you to take photos, play music and find your phone.

No Watch Hunger Stop campaign is complete without special-edition watches that have been a part of it since its inception. For each watch sold, 100 meals will be donated to WFP. Both the 100 Series watches – featuring the designer’s iconic Runway watch case – and the limited-edition Bradshaw 100 include a detailed map of the world on their face, along with WATCH HUNGER STOP and the message “1WATCH = 100 MEALS” engraved on its back.

Another way to support this cause is to snap using the special Watch Hunger Stop Snapchat geofilter, which will be launched on October 1st. Head to a Michael Kors store in the US, Canada or UK and snap using the filter to donate 25 meals.

Designed every year, the Watch Hunger Stop t-shirt will be given away at select Michael Kors stores around the world during the weekend of October 15th-16th. The best part of all? Wear it and take a selfie tagged with #WatchHungerStop in order to donate 25 meals to WFP.

With all these ways made available, we can all be ambassadors of this cause and help make this world a better place for all.
