There are two types of men: the standard necktie kind-of-fella and the preppy- bowtie gent. The question is: who are you?
Legend has it the two clans have long fought for a reigning place in the fashion world, only to finally settle together in a viable environment. On a more serious note, picking a tie really depends on what suits you best. Either you make or you break it. There’s no middle ground. But we’ll leave that to your good-willing taste!
Whether you pick a tie or a bowtie, you should keep a couple of guidelines in mind, from the general dress-code to your own personal look. Let the battle begin!

Let’s talk occasions and happenings; if you have a big reception, a formal dinner or you simply are Justin Timberlake, then the answer is crystal clear. Wear a bowtie. Not only does it enhance your overall look, but it also keeps you one step ahead of the fashion game.
-
Now a bit more on the aesthetical side; if the space between your chin and your neck is not long enough per say, then a bow tie might not be your safest choice. In that case, we suggest you opt for a standard tie, as to maintain a proportionate aspect.

Moving on to your attire, you should really take your uniform into consideration. For instance, if you’re sporting a two or three-button blazer, you should definitely go for a necktie. Now if you’re wearing a single-button blazer, then a bowtie is good to go! Again, if your outfit is on the conservative side, go for a bowtie!
Men have long been discussing the issue of ties vs bow ties, but has anyone stopped to consider the No-tie option? Indeed, a matter to arguably discuss in the future!
