Gucci Partners up with Chatsworth

This season, Gucci and Chatsworth – the famed historic house in Derbyshire, England – predict three years of support for cultural activities on the sixteenth century estate.

The celebrated Italian brand will constitute a key supporter of the various events that will be held at Chatsworth. Among them will be the “Never a Bore” exhibition that explores fashion and style and runs from March until the end of October 2017. This major event will be Chatsworth’s largest exhibition to date and will put on display photographs of the late Duchess Deborah Devonshire, who lived at the house.

This partnership comes as no surprise, thanks to the fascination of Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele with the British culture, which has inspired his designs through a wide range of sources. Are you wondering what lead to this collaboration? It all started with a conversation between Alessandro Michele and the current Duchess of Devonshire about their mutual passion for art, architecture, history and culture.

This partnership will also allow Gucci to shoot their Cruise 2017 campaign at Chatsworth. Also showcased in London, this runway show was the first to be held at Westminster Abbey and the reason Michele chose this place is its quintessential British character. Just like the latter, Chatsworth expresses Gucci’s passion for British culture and its desire to engage with it in a genuine way.
