We have marvellous news for car enthusiasts, as Aston Martin and Italian design house Zagato have joined forces to create the Vanquish Zagato Concept, which made its debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

The fifth car to emerge from a collaboration that goes back to over five decades, this marvel puts together Aston Martin’s famed sporting, dynamic and material qualities along with Zagato’s one-of-a-kind race-inspired design – just like the iconic DB4 GT Zagato of 1960 and 2011’s V12 Vantage Zagato.

Developed at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon-England, the car’s new bodywork is entirely shaped from carbon fibre and new round tail light reflectors are included, evoking the classic rear view of a Zagato design.

Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman said 'Over the years, we have developed and refined our own design language and we have always gone that little bit further with our special series cars like CC-100, One-77 and Aston Martin Vulcan. The Vanquish Zagato Concept shows how our two companies can come together and push the definition of Aston Martin design.'

This stunning car features wing mirrors inspired by One-77 and a sculptural rear end similar to DB11’s aerodynamic profile. The roof includes the iconic ‘double-bubble’ with its shallow radius dipping into the rear window glass, giving the car a captivating silhouette.

Moving to the inside, the Vanquish Zagato Concept embodied in all its elements the fine craftsmanship of Aston Martin from the materials used in the facia, vents and rotary dials to the unique ‘Z’ – Zagato’s trademark – quilt pattern that appears on the seat, door sections and headsets.
