Book of the Week – Epiphany by Ari Marcopoulos, Gucci and IDEA Books

On May 5th, New York’s Dover Street Market witnessed the launch of a special limited-edition book entitled Epiphany. Created by photographer Ari Marcopoulos, produced in association with Gucci and published by IDEA Books, this hardcover features images captured during a photo shoot that was held in Milan.

Documenting the Pre-fall 2016 women’s and men’s collection designed by Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele, the images carry the direct and loose feeling that Marcopoulos has always been known for.

Only 1000 copies will be made available of this work, while its availability will be restricted for one month only and will be exclusively available from the Manhattan retailer. Gucci Museo will be the second place to sell this book in June during the Pitti Uomo exhibition in Florence where it will also be signed, while a third signing will take place in London and is yet to be confirmed.

Coming in a bubble wrap envelope featuring a holographic Gucci snake sticker on the front and a black silk screen-printed Gucci logo on the back, the book’s cover will include a transparent pocket housing a photograph created by Marcopoulos at the shoot and the back will be supplied with a quote from Alessandro Michele.
