The fashion scene has fallen in love with some hidden gems that we call “Anklets” and these gypsy beautifiers are making their way to summer ever so glamorously. We must say, they have come just in time for open-toe sandals and beachy vibes, because there’s no better way of welcoming the tanning season than with sultry anklets!
With the 90’s fury, stars and celebrities have been spotted adorning them, showing off their toned legs and caramel tan. Come to think of it, this season, it is definitely not enough to simply get a pedicure; step up your game and get yourselves a charming little anklet! And hey, decorating your feet is yet another reason for you to step into summer in flair and style.
But first – and while you dig them out of your old closet- allow us to provide you with the dos and don’ts of anklets.
Do moisturize your legs before wearing them, as to keep a fresher tone to your silhouette.
Do make sure your anklet is stylishly resting just below the ankle bone; you don’t want it to look to large or too tight.
Do wear your anklet with the appropriate shoes. Compliance is key! Sandals, flip flops and open-toe shoes are the perfect companions!
Do compliment your anklets with shorts, sundresses or skirts. If you’re not showing them off, they why bother wearing them at all?
Do pick yellow or white gold anklets, occasionally adorned with gemstones
Do avoid wearing a shoe with an ankle strap, you don’t want to overdo it!
Don’t wear noisy anklets; they were no made to entertain your ears, but your feet!
Don’t embellish them with a busload of charms; as to not look tacky and outdated.
Don’t wear them over socks, it’s a certified fashion faux pas!
Don’t leave your toes unpolished. We can’t stress on this enough; pedicure, pedicure and pedicure!
