From April 26th until June 26th, Cuadro will be hosting Nadine Kanso’s third solo exhibition. Entitled “Future of Yesterday”, the exhibit will depict the enigmatic city of Dubai, which is difficult to define just like design.

Analogies created by outsiders describe, in a way or another, the city’s unique dynamism that seems a moment of the past as soon as the masterpiece is completed. In her latest series of artworks “Future of Yesterday”, Nadine Kanso provides a perspective of an insider on life in Dubai. The black and white photographs are embellished with delicate collage elements. Visually minimalistic yet conceptually multifaceted, the artworks reveal the past and the present, paving the way for the near future.

“What I see day in and day out are beautiful remnants of the past, the DNA of the city lays all around us, the future is clear,” explains the artist.
