With Art Dubai and Design Days just around the corner, the city is getting prepared for one of its biggest social and cultural events. Once again, Vida Downtown Dubai joins forces with The Mine to reveal the second edition of #ARTINVIDA.

This initiative aims at promoting artistic dialogue and supporting the works of the region’s emerging artists. The Mine is to present the renowned Japanese artist Yasuaki Onishi, who will create a site-specific installation entitled “Reverse Volume”.

This installation sees a monumental mountain-like structure that floats over the hotel’s lobby. Made of unexpected materials, the process of “reversing” sculptures reflects the artist’s vision of negative space.

Through this collaboration, Vida Downtown Dubai underlines its dedication to art and offers its guests a unique cultural experience.

The installation will be unveiled in March 2016 and will be available until the end of the month.
