They say there’s always a first for everything. Well this holds true to the Sultanate of Oman where, for the first time, Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series 2016 will be hosted.
This exciting amalgamation is the first to occur in one of the Middle Eastern countries, creating a new stepping-stone in the sporting scene.
The event will witness its prosperous beginning in Muscat from the 27th to the 28th of February, a first of many other episodes projected to take place in six other venues around the world. This tournament showcases AC45 yachts in an unbelievable quest to produce great speed and power.
Salim Al Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion for the Ministry of Tourism stated “We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series Oman here in Muscat for the first time and we are very proud and excited to welcome the America’s Cup community and its massive following to the Sultanate.”
