Known for his unique talent in print making, Jonathan Saunders joins forces with The Rug Company and adds his own one-of-a-kind touch to the collection. Graphic prints and vibrant color combinations are what set him apart since his appearance on the fashion scene.

This time, the designer takes over the world of rugs with four new creations for The Rug Company: Herringbone, Nouveau, Hutton and Harrington. All of the four pieces showcase the designer’s masterful understanding of patterns and his skill in combining contrasting colors.

Always inspired by architecture and interior design, his rug collection was no exception and mixes between different sources of inspiration. While Nouveau blends between sinuous shapes reminiscent of decorative Lalique glass and surreal colors, Herringbone forms a graphic transformation of the weaving technique in an unexpected selection of colors. As for the two rectangular rugs, Harrington is inspired by the architectural aspect of Charlotte Perrian’s work and Hutton finds its inspiration in vintage wallpaper given a modern twist through Saunder’s vibrant hues.
