Miss Dior gets an exclusive makeover and not just any kind. The legendary French house’s first fragrance gets an Haute Couture touch with the addition of a hand-made bow taken from the same delicate floral lace used to make the sumptuous Miss Dior couture gown worn by Natalie Portman.
In all its femininity, the embroidered lace bow ties beautifully around the neck of the bottle. Made by hand by Dior master artisans, the lace is white and pink – a perfect compliment to the baby pink colored fragrance. The team used a unique glazing technique that allowed for a soft watercolor effect.
The same process used to make the lace bow, whereby sheets of lace were stretched out on boards and later carefully humidified, was used to make Miss Dior’s stunning Haute Couture wedding gown covered in 5,000 white petals.
Colored with a “gentle halo” and folded to the nearest millimeter, each petal is handled with outmost care. Created with the help of a fine brush, the last touch of hand is a dark pink stroke outlining each flower motif. 5 hours were required to create every “tailor-made” bow placed on each bottle in the 25-piece exceptional edition collection. Only one bottle will make its way to the Middle East and will be exclusively sold at Harvey Nichols, Dubai.
It is as though the runaway Miss Dior bride journeys to various corners of the world touching the scented soul of a special lady and though they are apart by distance they all hold that unique bottle graced with a couture bow.
