Intersect by Lexus Debuts in Dubai

On December 9th, Intersect by Lexus hosted its much anticipated event to launch the unique DIFC-based luxury space. The evening saw a mix of the region’s most influential personalities, who enjoyed a private performance by award-winning DJ Mark Ronson.

Omar Al Futtaim, Vice Chairman of Al-Futtaim Group, and Len Hunt, President of Al-Futtaim Automotive Group were in attendance, as well as Tokuo Fukuichi, President of Lexus International, Mark Templin, Executive Vice President of Lexus International and Hiroyuki Fukui, Managing Officer Toyota Motor Corporation.

Intersect by Lexus Dubai is not a traditional retail space but one that offers inspiring networking opportunities for luxury seekers, who are also interested in food, design, art, fashion, culture, music and technology. It is a hub that features a comfortable lounge, inviting eatery, an exclusive library and an inspiring garage that embraces Lexus concept cars.

The décor is created by famed interior designer Masamichi Katayama, who is behind international interior design firm Wonderwall, and is based on the design of the very first Intersect by Lexus in Tokyo. It also sees additional local features that evoke the essence of the UAE, as it includes a bamboo façade that filters natural light into the space.

“We are very proud to be inaugurating this unique concept, which we like to think of as a home away from home, or a third space, where people have the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of Lexus and experience the brand’s passion for great design and craftsmanship in a whole new way,” said Len Hunt, President of Al-Futtaim Automotive Group.
