Celebrating the countless hours devoted to each creation, Piaget launches a new high jewelry and timepiece collection entitled “Secrets & Lights – A Mythical Journey by Piaget”. Echoing the long history of the Silk Route, the new collection finds its inspiration in two legendary cities, Venice and Samarkand. Each of these places is known for its cultural richness and captivating art of living, giving the collection an unparalleled radiance and vibrancy.
Known as the “queen of the Earth”, Samarkand is where the oriental magic begins. Located on the plain of Zarafshan, which means “supplier of gold” in Persian, the historical city is at the heart of “Lights of Samarkand” creation. It captures the vibrant colors of Registan and the infinite deserts under the star-studded skies. Rare and pure gems find their place in the center of the pieces, while the watches reflect the majesty of architecture and the desert’s animals through lacquer, engraving or micro-mosaic.
Reflecting a mysterious magic, “Secrets of Venice” is a collection inspired by La Serenissima, a cultural city perched on water. Feather art, enameling, micro-mosaic and engraving see the light in the collection’s timepieces, which evoke the architectural magnificence of the Clock Tower restored by Piaget in 1999, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mary’s Basilica and the city’s iconic lion. Whether embodying the beauty of Venetian festivities or reflecting subtle plays on light, these high jewelry pieces become authentic works of art.
Featuring 93 jewelry creations and 38 timepieces, the collection constitutes an expression of the house’s creative freedom that never ceases to grow.
