Giorgio Armani and Martin Scorsese have been good friends for a long time and what better way to show a friend admiration than to help organize an exhibition specially catered to him? Giorgio Armani’s designs have come to life in many of Scorcese’s movies dating back to the mid-80’s, which helped nurture a long-standing and unparalleled friendship between the two.

To celebrate the opening of the special exhibition ‘Scorsese’ in Paris, La Cinémathèque Française threw an exclusive dinner with President of France Françoise Hollande in attendance. Esteemed guests included French Minister of Culture and Communication Fleur Pellerin, Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy Ségolène Royal, Catherine Deneuve and daughter Chiara Mastroianni, Harvey Keitel, Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant and many more personalities from world of film and culture.

The exhibition highlights Scorsese’s career and immense influence on American cinema in post-New-Hollywood era and is considered to be the first most important exhibition on the director and his work. Among the respected guests, Roberta Armani, Martin Scorsese, Isabelle Huppert, Aïssa Maïga, Anna Sherbinina and Michael Pitt were dressed in Giorgio Armani’s latest designs.

The ‘Scorcese’ exhibition is held at La Cinémathèque Française and open to the public until February 14th 2016.
