Honoring its historic relation with the sea, the Luxury Swiss watch manufacture Officine Panerai has continuously promoted the classic culture of sailing by sponsoring for the last 11 years The Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge. Considered one of the biggest international circuits for vintage and classic yachts, the challenge came to an end this season with the 37th edition of Les Régates Royales held in Cannes.

Moonbeam IV from the Big Boats category, Vintage category’s Manitou and the classic Il Moro di Venezia I are the three wood-made sailings that won this season’s trophies and added their names to the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge Mediterranean Circuit roll of honor. The 11th edition of the international circuit of these Grandes Dames of the Sea featured three stages at the French Antibes, the Italian Porto Santo Stefano and the Spanish Mahon.

While it’s the third time for the Moonbeam IV to win the trophy in the Big Boat category after 2011 and 2012, the Italian Il Moro di Venezia yacht took her second Classic Trophy and the Manitou received the Vintage trophy for the first time.

Four Panerai luxury sports watches were also presented to the winners of Les Régates Royales’ main categories, the Tilly XV, the Marconi cutter EA, the Baglietto and the Helisara.
