Loewe designer, Jonathan Anderson has designed a new must have bag to add to Loewe’s already much sought after collection of handbags which include the recently released Puzzle and the iconic Amazona and Flamenco bags. The new Barcelona bag was first introduced on the fall/winter 2015-16 Loewe runway back in March and has recently been made available in stores.

An altogether new shape than ever seen before from the brand. The contemporary yet ‘80s style of the bag coincides with Anderson’s updated vision for the Spanish luxury house. Its stark geometric detailing is utterly modern and architecturally striking. The unique metal and leather triangle detailing is bold and statement making – for a woman who is not afraid to take risks and stand out in a crowd.

Though a beautiful design piece, the shape has been created with the modern woman in mind - a shape that takes into account the different moments and purposes of today’s woman’s life. Easily worn as a shoulder bag, the size is one that can accommodate a woman on the go, however, not so big that it would make carrying throughout the day a hassle. Worn as a clutch, the same bag can take a woman into the evening with ease. Functionality is key, even down to the interior pockets and inner lining.

Its bold color palette and striking skins too set the bag apart from others. Available in a combination of suede and calf leather and exotic skins such as crocodile, ostrich and python, the result is vivid shades of blues, reds, turquoise as well as luxurious camel and black.
