This year, British Grammy award-winning artist Sam Smith will be performing at the LACMA’s 2015 Art+Film Gala. Held on November 7th, the gala will honor artist James Turell and filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
Co-chaired by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s trustee Eva Chow and famed actor Leonardo DiCaprio, Gucci is the presenting sponsor of this annual event, in addition to its continuous support for the fifth consecutive year.
Art+Film Gala proceeds will support LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial program and fund their broader mission. In addition to exhibitions and educational programs, the museum screens work that combines art and film.
"Sam Smith is one of the most incredible artists today," said Eva Chow. "His voice is beautiful and his songs are powerful; he is sure to be a major highlight of this year's gala. We are thrilled to have him."
