This year at Watches & Wonders, Hermès wanted to celebrate simple shapes and so, a new collection was born. And to further explore the shape of time, the House transformed a timepiece into a real work of art – honoring techniques and values that Hermès mastered ever since it started its journey in the world of watchmaking. And when it came to Haute Horlogerie, a grand complication was developed while staying true to the Maison’s style and expertise.
So, without further ado, join us below as we take you through the three novelties marking this horological year for Hermès.
From the equestrian universe that Hermès is so fond of, the Arceau Chorus Stellarum watch designed by Henri d’Origny finds inspiration in the Chorus Stellarum silk scarf designed by Daiske Nomura to recreate a truly equestrian scene that comes to life with a flick of a thumb while preserving the classical appearance of this line.
The Arceau Duc Attelé watch brings together haute horlogerie and equestrian emblems in a unique composition of triple-axis tourbillon and a minute repeater, as the line’s classic appearance and round shape designed by Henri d’Origny in 1978 constitutes the perfect showcase for this grand complication.
Celebrating simple shapes through its powerful style, the Hermès Cut watch is presented in numerous variations that play with the vocabulary of geometry to form an appealing design with a distinctive identity.
