The Dior Autumn-Winter 2024-2025 Ready-to-Wear collection had a lot to offer, and Azyaamode got an exclusive insight into the House’s ateliers where we will take you on a tour to discover the story behind the special gabardine fabric. For this season, Maria Grazia Chiuri aimed to connect a part of the collection more than the others to daywear through the use of gabardine. Double-faced gabardine enables to create jackets or dresses that are entirely unlined as it’s actually a technique that is tied to haute couture since it requires a very specific kind of craftsmanship. The magic of this fabric lies in not having a structure on the inside of the garment, so these garments are incredibly light. The creations are in fact a tribute to the shapes that Marc Bohan created during his time at the Maison.
