The CHANEL Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture collection evokes the great names of dance, from whom it borrows their extraordinary style and affirmation of a triumphant body. The result came in the form of transparent short straight skirts, long dresses, jumpsuits, and little capes with masculine figures and the beauty of the body giving rise to a very feminine collection, worn over white ballet leotards and tights. However, the collection’s star was a jewel button, a symbol of emancipation that Virginie Viard took into the world of ballet and dance, thus bringing together the worlds of fashion, music, theatre and painting as physical poetry.
The least we can say is that a lot was going on in CHANEL’s SS24 Couture collection – and we mean it in the most dazzling way possible. Are you a fan of tulle, ruffles, lace, sequins, braids, embroideries, bows…? This collection is offering it all in a heartbeat! And with a pink and white aquarelle-dominated color palette that owes its touches of vivid color to the Ballets Russes of Léon Bakst and Sergei Diaghilev, all the details came together ever-so-perfectly.
