Amidst the installation of artist Isabella Ducrot, Big Aura, Dior presented its Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2024 Collection. The artworks adorned the walls of the room in the Rodin Museum gardens where twenty-three oversized dresses, some five meters high, were arranged on a composition of irregular black stripes reminiscent of weft and warp echoing the dresses of Ottoman sultans studied by Isabella Ducrot. All these vibes surrounded this collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri while she evoked, through the tangible, a chromatic and constructive presence of the elements that form the silhouettes, the aura-like dimension of haute couture. It’s a powerful experience that is not only contemplative but also performative and an expression of the metamorphic spirit of the imagination.

While yellow and red pierced the collection during the show, black, white, grey, and other tones made sure to balance the color palette. Suits, dresses, skirts, tops, and everything in between, whether loose or narrowed, all trace aura through the House’s haute couture history, which embodies the essence of fashion and ultimate excellence.
