For Fendi’s Fall/Winter 2023-2024 Haute Couture collection, the world of clothing of Kim Jones and that of jewelry of Delfina Delettrez Fendi met. This season, the Artistic Director of FENDI Couture and Womenswear concentrated on achieving “fluidity, drape and shape through couture techniques, and brought them together with the attitude of today”. As for the jewelry, the Artistic Director of Jewelry for FENDI explained, “There is an emotional relationship that I have with the jewelry in the collection that I hope the women who will eventually wear it will have too.”

Making couture traditions both human and approachable, the collection revolved around a mix of lightness with a sense of volume, fluidity, drapery and ease. While simplicity was paired with hidden intricacies, volume, drape and sculptural shape were achieved through complex and rigorous pattern cutting. Second-skin silks mingled with intricate knits, draped neoprene tailored furs and FENDI chevron feathered shearling.

The same approach takes over Delfina Delettrez Fendi’s high jewelry. As the idea of couture also applies to the magnificent pieces she created, her take was both timeless and modern, completed with a color palette of exceptional white and yellow diamonds, featuring as well green, orange and pink Padparadscha sapphires and spinels.

In light of the discreetly multifaceted nature of this couture collection, the embroidery techniques brought the two worlds even closer. With emotion and precision at its heart, this collection uses the past as a foundation for a New Wave present and future in every sense of the word.
