For his Autumn/Winter 2023-2024 Couture collection, Rami Al Ali finds inspiration in the work of renowned French visual artist Henri Matisse and his “carving into color” technique to create 30 pieces of unparalleled uniqueness. The method of drawing with scissors naturally celebrates innovation and distinct expression, and when paired with Al Ali’s extraordinary creativity, a connection was established between color and line, as well as emotion and execution.

The exquisite collection revolved around striking sculptural shapes, dynamic layering, flowing lines and impeccable workmanship in a style that is faithful to the fashion house’s design codes. With this in mind, the runway witnessed voluminous multi-layered skirts, tea-length mini-dresses and sharply tailored jumpsuits that redefine contemporary femininity. Delicate fabrics such as taffeta, satin and double-faced silks mingled with soft silk muslin, tulles and tweed to create the perfect balance, while a wonderful color palette of teal, sky blue and raspberry hues was effortlessly complemented with blush pink, ivory and champagne beige to evoke a sophisticated sensibility and depth.

Each detail was a reminder of the designer’s exemplary craftmanship and meticulous execution, leaving us in awe of this outstanding collection.
