Through Dior’s Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2023-2024 collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri introduced us to her ideal of haute couture as she perpetuated the cult of the goddess and reinterpreted the founding emblems of Antiquity. The Artistic Director wanted the creations to underline the sartorial elements that can be described as archetypal, such as the tunic, the peplum, the cape, and the stole. In a hieratic sequence, the show resembled a contemporary ritual, illustrating the strength and fragility of femininity and recalling the past as it guides us towards a vision of the future endowed with sensitivity and essential attention to detail.

Mainly, a charming color palette where white reigned supreme, accompanied by beige, silver and pale gold, took hold of the collection. However, it was pierced halfway through the show by black looks that shook us beautifully before going back to enjoying more creations in the star colors.

Now, to fully indulge in the collection’s beauty, check out the different marvels in the Photo Gallery or even take the time to re-watch the show, as it’s truly not one we can have enough of.
